Lamei, Zohreh

Zohreh Lamei graduated with her master’s degree in industrial engineering from Wichita State University, Kansas. Her main research area of interest is additive manufacturing, lean, and effective cost models. She worked as a teaching and research assistant in Industrial Engineering and Business departments at Wichita State University. Zohreh has also completed her MBA and a bachelor's degree in accounting. She worked as a lean consultant at Get Kaizened Company, and before that, she worked as a manufacturing engineer in RV Production, a division of the well-known company of Airxcel company.

Before moving to the U.S, Zohreh worked as a financial manager, head of the accounting department, and auditor for several prestigious companies for about 13 years. In addition, Zohreh has teaching experience in accounting. Some of the certifications and workshops that Zohreh has completed successfully are the Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals Examination Certificate (SME) and International Commercial Management Certification.

Zohreh has combined her accounting background with additive manufacturing and proposed a comprehensive cost model for additive manufacturing. Right now, Zohreh is an SME Metro-Detroit Additive Manufacturing Technology focus lead. She is also engaged in the Women in 3D printing- Detroit Chapter. Zohreh is a member of several other organizations as well, such as the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), the American Society of Quality (ASQ), and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
