Policy Statement

Students will be directed on how to complete a background check that satisfies the requirements of the school or organization where they will observe or complete an internship.

Rationale

It is becoming common for schools, churches, organizations, and camps to require students who observe or complete other types of field experiences to have a background check and/or have evidence of professional insurance.

Policy Procedures

All expenses incurred by these requirements are the responsibility of the student. Students visiting schools or organizations for the purpose of completing assigned field experiences are provided professional insurance coverage through the university.
