Policy Statement

Students who have current and verifiable interpreting credentials may be exempt from some classes.

Policy Procedures

• Certified (CSC, CI, CT, NIC, NIC-A, NIC-M, NAD 4 and 5, EIPA 4.0 or higher):
  • Exempt from ASL 1, ASL 2, ASL 3, ASL 4, and ASL 5
  • Exempt from English to ASL Interpreting
  • Exempt from ASL to English Interpreting
  • Exempt from Interactive Interpreting
• Written Portion of a nationally recognized knowledge test:
  • Exempt from Basics of Interpreting
