As we grow, so does the need for strong financial stewardship and operational support. We are seeking a mission-aligned, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Business Office team.

Position Summary:
The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the daily financial operations of the university. This role requires someone who is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and a proactive approach to managing tasks, solving problems, and maintaining accuracy in all financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology & Tools:

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Blackbaud, or other fund accounting platforms

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience (non-profit or higher education experience strongly preferred)

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • A strong sense of integrity and commitment to confidentiality and data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a university or academic institution

  • Understanding of student account operations and tuition billing processes

  • Familiarity with Title IV funds and financial aid disbursement accounting
