LAWA Academic Scholarship

Carolina University (CU) and Latin Americans Working for Achievement (LAWA) share a commitment for making quality higher education affordable to qualifying students regardless of their status. LAWA and CU established a partnership agreement to provide a pathway for academically gifted students and their families to afford an outstanding education at a reputable University. Carolina University offers degrees that lead to well-paying jobs in high-demand fields, and all students referred through LAWA who meet the criteria will be eligible to receive the generous LAWA Academic Scholarship to attend Carolina University in Winston-Salem, NC.

The scholarship amount is based on the student’s high school academic standing using the following GPA scale.

  • 75% Tuition Scholarship with high school GPA of 3.8 or higher
  • 50% Tuition Scholarship with high school GPA of 3.2 – 3.7
  • 25% Tuition Scholarship with high school GPA of 2.5 – 3.1

To get started and claim your LAWA Academic Scholarship fill out an application and inform your CU Admissions Officer that you were referred through LAWA. That’s it! You are on your way to becoming a Carolina University Bruin.
