Zuniga, Regina

Regina, originally from Honduras, holds an associate’s degree in accounting, a bachelor's in marketing, and an MBA from Carolina University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. 

Before CU, Regina worked with top leadership at Cargill’s Honduras headquarters and later started and built a successful service business in Charlotte, NC. Regina's natural leadership abilities are a cornerstone of her remarkable career. She possesses an innate skill for guiding teams with a clear vision and effective decision-making, setting her apart as a leader who directs and inspires. 

At CU, Regina has played a key role in increasing student enrollment. During her first three years of enrollment management oversight, she has developed and executed effective strategies leading to unprecedented increases in the university's student numbers. Total annual application numbers have increased by over 400%. Regina's strength lies in creating lasting connections with academic and business leaders. She never stops recruiting and is always available to chat with prospective students and their families. 

Her bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a key asset, enhancing her effectiveness in diverse settings. Regina’s other oversight areas include Information Technology, Student Employment, the International Office, Marketing, Social Media, the Call Center, and the Recording Studio. 

She firmly believes in the transformative power of education and actively works to ensure that others have the opportunities to pursue and achieve their educational goals. Alongside her professional life, Regina enjoys the peace of the North Carolina mountains, believing in a balanced life where work and personal time are equally important.
