About

Dr. Lori Wieters, an Arizona resident, has been partnering with organizational leaders to create effective and efficient work environments for more than 20 years. Her experience includes executive, leader and team coaching and development, driving large innovative organizational change initiatives, strategic planning, training and curriculum development, project planning and deployment, designing and aligning people-centered organizational cultures, development of performance competencies and metrics, off-site facilitation for large groups, and validity studies using human analytic data related to retention and performance. She leverages her personal experience within organizations with the power of human analytics to deliver quality results to her clients.

Prior to leaving the umbrella of an organization in 2010 to work full time in her consulting practice, Dr. Wieters, was the head of Leadership Development for a mid-size health care organization. In that role, she and her team collaborated, crafted, and deployed an executive/leadership development program that facilitated a change in the culture of the organization from a transactional style of leadership to a people centered leadership style. During that time, Dr. Wieters became an expert at using behavioral assessment tools as the basis of the program for all human interaction and leadership development. For the seven years Dr. Wieters ran the program, she trained hundreds of leaders on how to integrate behavioral assessment data into their coaching, conflict management, performance initiatives, and communication. The extensive human behavior work with individual, teams, and leaders provided a foundation for the executive coaching, team alignment, and human development initiatives that Dr. Wieters does today.

Prior to her work at the health-care organization, Dr. Wieters, was a member of the executive training and talent team at American Express where she assisted leaders through executive coaching and development, team development, and organizational and culture change initiatives. In her time at American Express, she also assisted with transitioning more than 300 people out of the organization during a large downsizing initiative in 2001, after the 9-11 tragedy. Since 2010, Dr. Wieters has worked full-time at Purposeful Leadership Consulting. Her client group is diverse and includes individuals who request career and executive coaching, team development/alignment, organizational/culture change, innovative solutions, and strategic planning. Her clients come from a variety of roles and industries, to include: the military, non-profit organizations and churches, transportation companies, health care organizations, financial services organizations, educational institutions, retail organizations, banking, senior living, and accounting firms. Dr. Wieters loves working with small/medium size businesses. Dr. Wieters is a member or the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and the American Psychology Association. She also serves on the Board of CeCe’s Hope Center. Dr. Wieters also owns the Wi2 Co-Lab, a business collaborative/co-laboratory that focuses on the betterment of organizations through collaboration.

Dr. Wieters has more than 20 years of experience in higher education in a variety of roles: Doctoral Chair, curriculum design, program management, department lead, residency instructor, online and in-person cohort instructor, consultant, researcher, mentor, assessment team member, and coach.
