About
Coach Kyle Neal is in his third year with the women’s soccer program at Carolina University, currently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to both his coaching and administrative roles.
Neal received his Early Childhood Education Credentials from Rowan Cabarrus Community College, which laid a strong foundation for his coaching career. He began his coaching journey in 2008 as an Assistant Coach for both the women's and men's soccer teams at South Rowan High School. He later transitioned to Jesse Carson High School, where he spent six impactful years. During his tenure, Neal played a pivotal role in leading the teams to their first-ever playoff appearances and secured back-to-back conference championships for the men's team in 2013 and 2014. He also guided the women’s team to its best record of 14-4-1 and three rounds in the State Playoffs.
In 2015, Neal returned to South Rowan High School as the Varsity Head Coach for both the men's and women's programs. In his first year, he was honored as Rowan County Coach of the Year after coaching the girls' team to its first-ever playoff appearance and achieving two of the best seasons in school history. Under his leadership, the program set a school record for wins in a season and secured its first-ever State Playoff victory in 2018, while also setting a county record for goals scored in a season. Throughout his coaching career, Neal has also contributed to the development of young athletes at Lake Norman Soccer Club and Charlotte Soccer Academy.
Originally from Jacksonville, NC, Neal’s passion for soccer and commitment to developing student-athletes continue to inspire his players at Carolina University, while his role as Assistant Athletic Director enhances the overall athletic program.
