About

Dr. Nancy L. Moschetta is originally from Flint, MI. She entered the U.S. Air Force and served five years from June 8, 1973, to May 5, 1978, as a telecommunications center specialist. While on active-duty Dr. Moschetta was assigned to the 24th NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) department in the telecommunications center at Malmstrom AFB, MT. She was then reassigned to the 1964th Communications Group at Ramstein AB, Germany where she worked in Kinsbach Cave in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) telecommunications center and weather relay. Following her discharge from the Air Force Dr. Moschetta raised a family while often transferring from base to base stateside and overseas due to her spouse’s military career. Although there were frequent transfers, Dr. Moschetta began her studies, utilizing the GI Bill to achieve a college degree, in Cheyenne, WY at Laramie County Community College (LCCC). She continued her studies at the University of Maryland (UM), Asian Division, while residing on Osan AB, South Korea, and completed a bachelor’s degree at the University of Nebraska in Omaha (UNO). Upon receiving a graduate assistantship in the Grants and Sponsored Projects department at UNO Dr. Moschetta pursued a Master of Science degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education/Counseling which she completed in 1993 at Wright State University (WSU). While achieving her MS degree she also participated in a practicum in the Adult and Transfer Services department and an internship in the undergrad admission office. This allowed her to conduct research in analyzing the best recruiting materials and practices to encourage High School seniors to visit and apply for admission to WSU. Upon graduation a move to Albuquerque, NM, gave Dr. Moschetta the opportunity to become the Human Resources (HR) manager for a $1.5 billion construction project awarded to build a semiconductor fabrication facility for a well-known company located in NM and AZ. The position led to a transfer to corporate headquarters located in Portland, OR for a second $1.5 billion project and eventually Dr. Moschetta was promoted to the position of Director of International Human Resources for the building contractor. The role required Dr. Moschetta to interface with all personnel in the design, engineering, and construction companies of the international projects for the client. These international projects were located in Israel, Ireland, France, Taiwan, Singapore, and China. Dr. Moschetta’s role was overseeing and directing all HR services for all stateside and international employees, which included benefits and relocation packages upon completion of the projects and interfacing with national employees of each country. Dr. Moschetta also created and oversaw all training for employees such as international preparation and cultural orientation for expats and their families and assisted Israeli HR personnel in the set-up of the HR office in Kiryat Gat, Israel. She was also commissioned to assess the situation for expats located in Israel, on two occasions, and ensure their needs were being met by the company headquartered in Portland, OR. Dr. Moschetta directed all other HR personnel and their responsibilities to include recruitment and selection, hiring, employee relations, employee performance reviews, mentorships, coaching, benefits, management training for salaried employees, evaluation of salary parity. She also created three separate employee HR training manuals to organize and manage the HR departments in a more functional and efficient manner. Eventually her spouse’s employment position led to a move to Santa Clarita, CA, which afforded Dr. Moschetta the opportunity to further develop her Christian faith at a deeper level and eventually she facilitated women’s bible studies for a decade. Dr. Moschetta volunteered to teach individuals seeking assistance in the application process for college admissions, scholarships, or grants, and coached those who were job searching how to write a resume, interview or negotiate job offers, while also engaging in other volunteer positions within the community. Subsequently, motivated by a variety of factors, Dr. Moschetta began her doctorate in 2016 and continued the required coursework in between adding two more relocations: Colorado Springs, CO, and presently, Phoenix, AZ.

In 2022, Dr. Moschetta graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Development. Dr. Moschetta’s dissertation was titled Female Veterans’ Successful Graduation from a Higher Education Institution: A Qualitative Descriptive Study which focused on the challenges and success factors that were encountered for female veterans who were pursuing their four-year college degrees after their discharge from the military. Presently, Dr. Moschetta is an adjunct professor for doctoral candidates at Carolina University and is also involved with her local female veterans’ group in the greater Phoenix area. She offers her educational expertise and services to women veterans and their families who are seeking to further their education. Dr. Moschetta’s ambition and heart’s desire is to extend her support and expertise to all individuals who wish to pursue higher education and to assist academic leadership in meeting their needs.
