Kunz, Dr. Claiton

I was born in Concordia, in Santa Catarina, Brazil. I lived until I was 18 with my parents, working in agriculture. I gave my life to Jesus Christ at youth camp when I was 17. I was baptized in a Baptist church and later went to the Theological Seminary, in the city of Ijuí, in Rio Grande do Sul. After graduating, I went to a mission field for a year on a church planting project and then returned to teach at the same institution where I had studied. I did a Master's in New Testament, a Master's in Theology, and a Doctorate in Theology. In my free time, I also studied for a degree in Philosophy. I am currently doing my postdoc in Theology.

Today I am a director and professor at Faculdade Batista Pioneira, professor of the master's degree in Theology at Faculdade Batista do Paraná, and adjunct professor of the master's degree in Ministries at Carolina University. I am the editor of two academic journals (Revista Batista Pioneira and Revista Via Teológica). I am also a co-pastor at First Baptist Church in Ijuí.
