About

Gerod King founded “Gerod King and Associates LLC” an international executive coaching and leadership training business in 2018.  He is an International Coaching Federation, Associate Certified Coach. He helps executives, managers and leaders develop themselves to become more effective people and project leaders. Gerod works with multiple sectors to include private industry, non-profit, federal agencies, U.S. military, local law enforcement, universities, and medical facilities in the U.S., and abroad.  He has additional certifications in EQ360, John Maxwell, HOGAN and TALENTx7. 

Gerod served 29-years and retired from the U.S. Justice Department - Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), as a Senior Special Agent.  He successfully led multi-organizational complex investigations on violent groups, gangs, and individuals. He created and led a violent crime taskforce that was instrumental in reducing crime, removing habitual and violent individuals from communities in multiple states.  He was a certified law enforcement instructor that trained state and local officers in advanced investigative techniques throughout the country.  Gerod was an ATF Academy instructor that trained newly hired agents in overt and covert field operations.  He received numerous awards and recognition for superior job performance to include the “The Old North State Award” from North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper. 

Gerod served 20-years and retired from the U.S. Army Reserve, Ft. Knox, KY as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer with 15 years management and leadership experience.  He worked in the transportation and logistics field for much of his career.  He was a Bosnia Armed Conflict Convoy Commander that successfully led missions throughout Bosnia and Croatia in 1997-1998.  Gerod was a certified Army instructor and certified facilitator during the last 7 years of his career.  He was a course manager/instructor for the college ROTC Field Leadership Reaction Course,  mid-level and senior level non-commissioned officer leadership courses at Fort Knox, KY.  He primarily trained soldiers and leaders for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
