About

Dr. Hartog is an adjunct professor at the Piedmont Divinity School at Carolina University. He is an accomplished author and has also ministered as an assistant and associate pastor in Baptist churches in Slater, IA, Romeoville, IL, and Grimes, IA.  He and and his wife Alne have been blessed with three children (two sons and a daughter). He enjoys tennis, bicycling, and traveling with his sweetheart and family.

Dr. Hartog is the author or editor of four books (including works published by Mohr Siebeck and Oxford University Press), and he has written numerous articles, essays, and book reviews.  He is a member of several theological, philosophical, and historical academic societies.  And he has presented at academic conferences held at universities around the world, including Aarhus University, King's College London, Oxford University, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Birmingham, the University of Calgary, the University of Chicago, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of St Andrews.
