About

A native of northwestern North Carolina, Dr. Trent Craven’s professional experience includes leading church and educational ministries, focusing on discipleship, education, and revitalization for producing transformational results. Dr. Craven also mentors ministry students on subjects related to pastoral leadership. Dr. Craven graduated from Carolina University with a doctorate in leadership with an emphasis in organizational management. Dr. Craven’s dissertation focused on the relationship between change readiness and dyadic leadership in private pediatric medical practices utilizing grounded theory. In addition to his full-time ministry responsibilities, Dr. Craven serves on the board of directors of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Wilkes Pregnancy Care Center. Following God’s call to teach, Dr. Craven is honored to serve as an adjunct professor and dissertation chair within the John Wesley School of Leadership and Innovation at Carolina University. In this role, he enjoys building relationships and mentoring doctoral candidates in the dissertation process, helping them connect leadership theory to real-world application.
