Gerod is a retired U.S. Army Reservist and Bosnia armed conflict veteran. He is also a retired U.S. Department of Justice criminal investigator with over 23 years of investigative experience. He received numerous awards from various organizations for his outstanding complex investigative work. Gerod has 20 years leadership, facilitation/training and coaching experience, 14 years management experience and 7 years senior management experience. He has extensive experience in national and regional recruitment, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Gerod was a government agency spokesperson who addressed public and media inquiries from multiple states. He also conducted numerous on camera interviews with NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox and Spectrum Cable News.
Gerod trained, facilitated and was a guest speaker in multiple states and two foreign countries. The venues include military, government, law enforcement, NC/SC Bar Associations, universities, schools, churches, non-profits, and various other organizations. He received numerous letters of appreciation for his aforementioned efforts. Gerod is known for giving riveting inspirational and enlightening messages. He utilizes his vast experience to convey colorful life stories people can relate to that keeps his audiences captivated.
Gerod received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources, Training and Development from Seton Hall University.
Gerod’s certifications include International Coach Federation – ACC, John Maxwell Coach, Trainer & Speaker, Hogan Assessment, Diversity & Career Program Recruiter, ATF law enforcement instructor, Total Army Instructor Training Course and Army Small Group Instructor/facilitator Course.
Gerod has served on three university criminal justice advisory boards and one high school public safety advisory board (fire, EMT & law enforcement).
