A North Carolina native, Jasmine McEntyre has 10+ years of healthcare experience including nursing experience in the CVICU at Wake Forest Baptist Health, in addition to, advanced practice experience in public health and retail health.  Jasmine attended Queens University of Charlotte, where she completed her undergraduate degree in psychology while minoring in health sciences.  She later completed her BSN via the accelerated nursing program at WSSU; preceded by completion of the MSN in Family Nurse Practioner program. 

Jasmine’s research interests include prevention of cardiovascular disease in disadvantaged populations and practice improvement projects.  Throughout her academic career, she also served as a Robert Wood Johnson scholar and mentor; with aims to guide upcoming cohorts throughout the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Additional efforts included participating in conferences to provide test taking strategies for nursing certification exams.

When not encouraging students, Jasmine enjoys traveling, hiking local trails, and creative and performing arts from local talent.
