Linda Gaskins is a Sr. Talent and Development Consultant in the office of Human Resources at Forsyth County Government and has cultivated a 25-year career in public service. Linda has held numerous leadership positions and has championed numerous strategic initiatives and projects throughout her career. Beginning her career in London (England), then in New York and now North Carolina, she has worked across public, private, not-for-profit organizations and academic sectors, and has over a 15 years of management experience. Having spent the last 13 years focusing on talent development, she has established an expertise in leadership assessment, executive coaching, employee engagement, Diversity and Inclusion, change management and organizational development. She is a champion for placing learner needs at the center of every learning engagement and works with leaders to assess leadership and team development needs to design and deliver learning programs that serve as a catalyst to unlock the potential of each individual, team, and the entire organization. She earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology from The New School University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Middlesex University (London). Through the North Carolina State Office of Human Resources, she is a certified Advanced Skills Manager and a certified Training specialist and a Certified Everything DiSC Management facilitator. She is also certified in employee mediation and specializes in Motivational interviewing and Cultural competence.
Linda and her husband, Duane reside in Lewisville, NC with their children. To balance her work and life, she loves to travel, spend time at the beach, find any excuse to dance, enjoys the arts and hikes only the super-easy trails. One of Linda’s favorite quotes is by Eric Allen, “Everyone is my teacher. Some I seek. Some I subconsciously attract. Often I learn simply by observing others. Some may be completely unaware that I’m learning from them, yet I bow deeply in gratitude."
