Dr. Gracic is an Assistant Professor of Business in the Patterson School of Business at Carolina University. She graduated with a PhD in Economics from the University of Miami in Summer 2020. Her applied econometric research at the University of Miami focused on the effects of social networks on behavioral economics and financial markets, using self-designed innovative methods of big data analytics and predictive modeling. She served as an academic mentor, instructor, and a teaching assistant for undergraduate and graduate level economics courses.

Alma is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she attended United World College before she moved to the United States in 2009 as a Shelby Davis Scholar to pursue her Bachelors. Prior to her studies at the Miami Herbert Business School, she earned a BA in Chemistry from Earlham College and worked in medical research for next generation smart ophthalmic devices at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care.
