Professor Evans is the director and assistant professor of Deaf Studies. She joined the university as an adjunct professor in the spring of 2019 while pursuing her PhD in Deaf Education and Interpreter Education. She brings a variety of educational skills attained over her years as a K12 educator, college professor, educational interpreter and community/VRS interpreter. 

She will complete her PhD from the University of Tennessee this year. She earned her Master’s in ASL Interpreting Education from Tennessee Temple University and her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Berry College.
